Parking policy
Parking Policy
General Terms and Conditions
By commencing parking (registered entry into the parking facility), a contract is concluded between the Operator and the customers (the driver and passengers of the vehicle) for the outdoor parking, storage and safeguarding of the vehicle and for the provision of the airport transfer service, subject to the following general terms and rules:
Traffic rules
Safety and security measures
Airport transfer procedure
Rates and payment of parking fees
Traffic Rules
The provisions of the Hungarian Highway Code (KRESZ) apply throughout the parking facility. The maximum permitted speed is 5 km/h.
These traffic rules and the General Terms and Conditions apply to customers from the moment their vehicle crosses the entrance gate line and remain in force until the vehicle crosses the gate line when leaving.
Vehicle movements and parking within the parking facility are directed and, where necessary, assisted by the parking staff.
Vehicles must be parked in accordance with the staff’s instructions. Even where no specific instruction is given, vehicles must be parked so that they do not obstruct other vehicles from entering or leaving parking spaces, passengers from getting in or out, or the loading and unloading of luggage.
Customers must take particular care when starting, reversing and observing the right-hand priority rule.
Data are recorded and checked when vehicles enter and leave the parking facility, and these events are recorded by the security camera system.
Vehicles may be stored only in a locked condition, with their installed electronic and mechanical security devices activated.
Customers may retain their vehicle keys until departure.
In the event of force majeure, the Operator may move or have vehicles removed. Force majeure includes fire, natural disasters, acts of terrorism, attacks and any other unforeseeable event that cannot be prevented by human effort and in relation to which the Operator is unable to ensure personal safety or the protection of property.
At the start of parking, the Operator issues the customer with a parking contract, which must be retained until the parking service has ended.
On departure, the staff verify the person’s entitlement to take possession of the vehicle.
Safety and Security Measures
When a vehicle enters the parking facility and parking begins, the Operator records the data necessary for the use of the parking service for identification, evidentiary and security purposes, in accordance with the applicable data protection laws.
Vehicles and customers are recorded by the camera system. The Operator uses the recordings solely for purposes connected with operating the parking facility. Recordings are retained for 25 days and are then deleted, unless there is a lawful reason for further retention under the Camera Surveillance Policy.
The Operator does not disclose recordings to unauthorised persons. Recordings may be provided only to competent authorities or other bodies entitled by law to receive them for official purposes.
At the start of parking, the staff issue the customer with a parking contract containing the vehicle’s official details and the information necessary for providing the parking service. The customer must retain this contract until the parking service has ended. The Operator accepts no liability for problems arising from the loss of the contract.
When a vehicle leaves the parking facility, the Operator considers the person who can present the parking contract and possesses the vehicle keys to be entitled to take the vehicle. In the absence of these, a person who can present the vehicle registration certificate or ownership document is considered entitled to take the vehicle.
The Operator’s responsibility extends to the outdoor, uncovered parking facility. The Operator accepts no liability for dirt or contamination resulting from outdoor storage.
The Operator and its staff do not inspect property or valuables stored or left in the passenger compartment or luggage compartment of vehicles and therefore accept no liability for them. The Operator accepts no liability for damage to navigation, telecommunications, video or audio equipment left in vehicles.
In the event of a dispute concerning the condition of a vehicle, the burden of proving that the vehicle’s condition differed from that recorded by the Operator rests with the customer. The costs of such proof may not be charged to the Operator, even if the customer’s claim is successful.
The Operator accepts no liability for damage caused by a third party during outdoor parking.
The Operator cannot be held liable for damage reported only after the vehicle has left the parking facility.
Rates and Payment of Parking Fees
The current rates and promotional offers are available on the website and are displayed in the parking office.
The customer may pay the parking fee on arrival or departure, either in cash or by bank card at the parking office.
The customer acknowledges that the vehicle may leave the parking facility only after the parking fee has been paid. In the event of a payment dispute, the staff may retain the vehicle until payment has been settled.
In the event of a payment dispute, the customer may not assert any additional claim in connection with the retention of the vehicle. The parking contract contains the applicable rates.
Airport Transfer Procedure
The Operator provides customers with transport by its own minibus between the parking facility and Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport Terminals 1, 2A and 2B, including both outbound and return transfers.
The airport transfer fee is included in the stated parking fee.
The outbound transfer to the requested terminal may be used after the customer has received the parking contract.
For the return transfer, customers must call the telephone number shown on the parking contract after their aircraft has landed to request collection.
The Operator provides the transfer service according to customer demand.
After receiving a transfer request, the Operator undertakes to make the minibus available within 0–15 minutes for the outbound journey and within a maximum of 10–20 minutes for the return journey.
The usual journey time between the parking facility and the airport terminals is approximately 5–10 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.
The Operator will make every reasonable effort to transport passengers to the airport or back to the parking facility within the indicated time. However, the Operator accepts no liability for delays caused by technical problems, unavoidable traffic conditions or measures taken by the authorities.
The staff assist customers with boarding and leaving the minibus safely and with loading and unloading their luggage.
Final Provisions
Matters not covered by this Parking Policy are governed by the Hungarian Civil Code and other applicable laws relating to the Operator’s activities.
